Rita Ray

Rita (Becker) Ray, 89, wife of the late N. Alan Ray of Kimberton, PA died on Thursday, April 9, 2020 in Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on March 19, 1931 in Shamokin, PA to the late John and Catherine (Fultin) Becker. She graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1949 and worked at Farmers & Mechanics National Bank Of Phoenixville. Rita was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the first president of the Sacred Heart Women's Guild. She also served as a Chester County Republican Committee Woman. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by three children: Douglas Ray, Tracy Ray Bowes and husband James, Kristopher Ray and wife Letitia; 7 grandchildren: Allison Ray, James Bowes, Andrew Ray, Patrick Bowes, MacKenzie Bowes, Shannon Ray, and Kristen Ray; sister, Theresa Fodor. She was preceded in death by three sisters: Vilma Moles, Marian White, and Eleanor O'Neill. A private funeral will be held with burial in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Chester Springs.
