Winifred (Quinn) Higgins

Winifred (Quinn) Higgins, 92, wife of the late Francis L. Higgins of Phoenixville, PA passed away early Saturday morning, July 22nd, 2023 at Spring Mill Senior Living. Born on April 20th, 1931 in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Helene (Coyne) Quinn. She worked as an Executive Assistant at Phoenixville Hospital for 25 years and was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church. Winnie enjoyed painting, gardening, the beach, and following politics. She loved spending time with her family, and her great-grandchildren affectionately called her "GiGi". She also enjoyed music, and spent many hours asking "Alexa" to play her favorite tunes, especially those sung by Neil Diamond. She is survived by 4 children:  Francis Higgins (Susan), Maryanne Elly (Don), Patrick Higgins (Rita), and James Higgins (Kristin); 9 grandchildren: Katie, Jenny, Maggie, Erica, Danny, Stephanie, Ryan, Hailie, and Aidan; 8 great-grandchildren, her sister-in-law, Lorraine Quinn, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Thomas J. Higgins, sisters, Mary Romano, Elizabeth Love, Gertrude Gallagher, Alice Boyle, Helene Eliff, Sr. Assumpta Maria Quinn IHM, and brother, James Quinn, Sr.

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, July 27th, 2023 at 11:00AM with Rev. Daniel Arechabala officiating. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. A visitation will be held in the church on Thursday morning from 9:45 to 10:45AM.
