William C. Wood

William C. Wood, 83, husband of the late Katherine C. (Butterfield) Wood of Phoenixville, PA passed

away on Wednesday, September 18, 2024.

Born on January 2, 1941 in Norristown, PA he was the son of the late Charles E. and Myrtle E. (Rogers)

Wood.

Bill graduated from Norristown High School in 1958. He worked in the garment industry, starting as a

cutter for Gordon of Philadelphia. When Gordon’s closed he starting working for Collegeville Costumes,

and then ended his career at Jones New York in Bristol, PA.

Bill enjoyed shopping, playing the lottery, Tuesday night Bingo at the VFW and playing golf.

He is survived by 3 children:

Kathy wife of John Bielawski;

Helen Wood companion of the late Edwin Hartman;

William husband of Julie Wood.

5 Grandchildren, Jessica, Nicole, William, Andrew, and Kyle.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Pete Wood, Marilyn Demchik, and John Wood.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Service in Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main

Street, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, September 26, 2024 at 6:30 pm.

A viewing will be held in the funeral home from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.
