William McFarland

William W. McFarland, 81, husband of Patricia (Niemczuk) McFarland of Pottstown, PA died on Friday evening, May 21, 2021 in Seasons Hospice at Phoenixville Hospital.

He was born in Pottstown, PA to the late Paul and Dorothy (Hoffman) McFarland.   He served in the U.S. Army for three years during the Korean War.

William worked at the Dana Corporation in Pottstown for 30 years, retiring in 1997.  He enjoyed playing golf, racquetball, tennis and going to casinos.  He loved caring for and maintaining his yard.  He was most especially proud to work with his son in restoring a 1969 Camaro and winning  many awards at car shows.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children:  Michael McFarland and Kathleen McFarland; and sister, Betty Shanaman.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul McFarland.

A viewing will be held at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, May 29, 2021 from 9:00 to 10:30 am.  A Service will begin at 10:30 am.   Burial will be private.
