Thomas B. Pogash, 87, husband of Anna (Ihnatolya) Pogash, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Saturday, August 6, 2016 in Phoenixville Hospital.
Born on April 20, 1929 in Centralia, PA, he was the son of the late Albert and Veronica (Royack) Pogash.
Thomas served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He attended Mt. St. Mary's University in Maryland and then Temple University in Philadelphia.
Thomas retired after 30 years of employment at the General Electric Company in King of Prussia, PA.
He was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Phoenixville, American Legion Post 602 in Spring City, Veterans of Foreign War Post 1564, Knights of Columbus Council 1374, Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Church, associate member of the Legion of Mary, member of West End Fire House and Polish Club in Phoenixville.
Surviving in addition to his wife are:
daughter, Anna Marie wife of David Pedorenko of Collegeville, PA,
son, Thomas Pogash husband of Wendy of Macungie, PA,
11 grandchildren, Thomas, Jessica, John, Michael, Josh, Joey, Mary, Joe, Jimmy, Sarah, Jenna, 2 great-grandchildren, Noah and Naomi,
and brother, Stanley Pogash.
He was preceded in death by siblings, Ellie, Stella, Frank, Steve, Mary, John and Theresa.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 148 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, August 12, 2016 at 10:00 am.
Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA.
A viewing will be held in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Thursday from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, and in church on Friday from 8:45 am to 9:45 am.
