Thomas Edward Ash, born January 5, 1949, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on July 10, 2021 at age 72 after a lengthy illness.
Tom was a welder by trade but could do almost anything and was very smart and gifted with many abilities.
He was a lifelong resident of Phoenixville and attended St. Ann's School, now Holy Family School, and Phoenixville Junior and Senior High School.
He leaves behind to mourn his memory his loving partner of 30 years Lorraine Laird, two brothers, Robert Ash and wife Linda of Metairie, LA and Samuel Ash and wife Kathy of Phoenixville, PA.. He was predeceased by his dear mother Mildred (Costello) Ash and loving father Samuel Kaufman Ash, as well as two sisters, Lyda Kline and Kimberly Ash Howie, with whom he was very close. Tom is survived by step-son, Erik and wife Erica and daughter, Madi Rose who adored her grandfather. Tom is also survived by many nieces and nephews who were very loving and devoted to their uncle, including Samuel Ash, Jr. and sister Melissa, nephew Michael Paul and sister Audra Paul, and others too numerous to mention here. All were very fond of their uncle and devoted to his care and well-being. Tom was the keeper of the family stories and had a wonderful sense of humor as well as a great memory. Tom loved to dance and was a wonderful dancer as is his whole family.
A Funeral Mass will be in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 at 10:00 am.
Burial will be private.
A visitation will be in church on Wednesday from 9:30 am to 10:00 am.
