Terry S. "Ziggy" Dillinger, 69, of Phoenixville, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday, October 29, 2022. He was born March 7, 1953 in Phoenixville to the late Clarence & Elizabeth Dillinger. He graduated in 1971 as part of the inaugural class of the Vo-Tech school in Phoenixville and went on to have careers in carpentry and truck driving.
Ziggy, as he was known by most, was also known as Dad, Pops, Poppop and Grandpop Ziggy to the kids and grandkids he loved so much. While his signature lifelong passion was riding motorcycles, he was also an avid gardener and woodworker—and was quick to bestow the fruits of his labor as gifts to loved ones. If Zig was your friend, you were fortunate; he would do anything for you but also tell you like it is. And we all need a friend like that. He felt deeply, was unabashedly himself, and could admit when he was in the wrong. He touched all of our lives in a special way and he will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his three children, Shaun Dillinger (Erin) Rachel Dillinger (Shawn) and John Dillinger; four grandchildren, Michael Dillinger, Joy Dillinger, Stella Smith and Wesley Smith; nieces, nephews, and his grand-kitty Tormund.
Relatives and friends are invited to share stories and memories in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville on Saturday, November 5, 2022. A visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 AM with the sharing of stories and memories at 11:00AM. There will be designated motorcycle parking and riders are encouraged to bring their bikes if able. A celebration of his life will follow at 1:00PM at his favorite spot, the Fitz, at 264 Canal Street, Phoenixville PA 19460. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, please consider bringing photos of Ziggy and/or donating to PAWS (Philadelphia Animal Welfare Society) who rescued Tormund. (https://secure.phillypaws.org/donate)
