Teresa Touey

Ellen Teresa Johanna (Bailiff) Touey, 84, wife of Joseph V. Touey, of Phoenixville, PA formerly of Glenolden, PA passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at Brandywine Living at Upper Providence. Born on May 19, 1940 in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin and Catherine (Coleman) Bailiff. Teresa worked as an Administrative Assistant at GE and Bishop Hanneman High School in Philadelphia. It was at GE, she met the love of her life, Joe Touey, and devoted the past 60 years to him as his wife. 

She was devout Catholic, and a member of St. Raphael's Parish and St. George's Parish. She was a proud native of The Meadows. She enjoyed going to the beach, sewing, knitting, gardening, crafting, reading, cooking, the Mummers, and playing with her grandchildren. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and surprising her grandchildren in her costume. She's enjoyed riding the waves on her belly board in Ocean City.

 In addition to her husband of 60 years, she is survived by 4 children: E. Teresa Touey

Joseph Touey Jr. and Elizabeth (Markley) Touey Catherine (Touey) and Tassos Panas Dr. Charles and Mary Beth (Grasso) Touey 10 Grandchildren. 1 Great-granddaughter. Sister, Florence (Bailiff) Lang and Niece, Amy Catherine (Lang) Lynch Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 204 Lawrence Road, Broomall, PA 19008 on Wednesday, August 21, 2024 at 10:30am followed by a luncheon. Burial will be private.
