Susanne Taney

Susanne (Lannutti) Taney, 87, wife of the late Richard D. Taney of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at Woodbridge Place.

Born on August 18, 1934 in Cedar Hollow, PA she was the daughter of the late Sabatino and Elizabeth (Alleva) Lannutti.

She was an Executive Assistant at Burlington Industries.

She was a longtime parishioner of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church where she was one of the first female Eucharistic Ministers.  She was a member of the Phoenixville AARP at the Senior Center.

Susanne was a great mom.  All were welcome and she loved cooking.  She liked spending time with her grand children and grand dogs.  Susanne loved and missed her husband dearly.  She was patriotic and compassionate to others.

She is survived by 4 children:
Richard Taney, Jr. husband of Angela Taney;
Nancy wife of Andrew Peters;
Michael husband of Donna Taney;
James husband of Karin Taney.

3 grandchildren, Richard Taney, III and wife Shell, Matthew Peters, and Jessica Taney.

3 great-grandchildren, Rayna, Shyanne, and Christian.

Sister-in-law, Carol T. Miller.

Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass in St. Basil the Great Catholic Church 2340 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 11:30 am.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.

A visitation will be held in church on Thursday from 10:00 am to 11:30 am.
