Sharon M. Gambone, loving wife, mom and grandmom left this world and joined her heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ on July 21, 2024 while surrounded by her family at home. Sharon, 72, was born in Chester, Pa. on May 11, 1952.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Helmut & Wilma Witzel and her brother Alan.
Survived by her husband Vince, daughters Teresa Schimek (husband Michael) of Chester Springs; Linda (longtime partner Ty Pernsley) of Parkesburg, and grandchildren Riley, Aubrey, Haley, Kennedy, Anthony, Jace, Tylah and her beloved pup Petey.
Sharon attended Ridley High School where she excelled in Basketball, Field Hockey, Lacrosse and Cheerleading. She went on to earn a bachelor’s degree in physical education at West Chester University.
She went on to become the Adult Fitness Coordinator at Phoenixville YMCA and also volunteering as a coach for PMYC Field Hockey. Her passion was helping and motivating women of all ages attain their goals in fitness and athletics. Sharon also worked for Shelly’s Building Supply in Kimberton until her retirement.
Sharon loved to entertain in her home and often hosted gatherings for friends and family. Her favorite pastime became walking the beach searching for seashells with her grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service in Sharon's honor at Devlin-Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 11:00 am. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
