Rosemary R. (Graten) Emrich, 83, wife of the late Raymond E. Emrich of Spring City, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at Brandywine Senior Living.

Born on August 27, 1941 in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Ethel I. (Kirkner) Graten.

She worked in banking for 26 years starting at GSB (Germantown Savings Bank), CoreStates, First Union and retired from Wachovia in 2005.

She was an avid reader and birdwatcher. She enjoyed identifying the birds that visited her 10 foot high homemade bird feeder. She also enjoyed golfing and word puzzles. She had a special place in her heart for her two boxers, Xena and Zoe.

Rosemary volunteered at the Church Food Pantry. She enjoyed raising five children and watching them participate in school activities, band, and sporting interests.

  2. Cheryl wife of Peter Johnson;
  3. Raymond Emrich, Jr;
  4. Chrisanne wife of Mark Katkovcin;
  5. Russell husband of Kelli Haggerty Emrich.

Mrs. Emrich has 10 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, with a 13th expected in June.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michele Emrich Huston and brothers and sister, William Rosen, Charles S. Graten, and Josephine Graten Thren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Visitation at GraceCrossing Community Church, 248 Church Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 9:45 to 10:45 am. A Funeral Service will be held in the church at 11:00 am. Burial will be private. 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to GraceCrossing Community Church.
