Rosemary Blum

February 18, 1941 — December 21, 2021

Rosemary D. (Toth) Blum, 80, wife of Charles J. Blum of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on February 18, 1941 in Allentown, PA to the late Edward and Isabelle (Fritz) Toth.

Rosie graduated from Central Catholic High School in Allentown and attended Muhlenberg College.  She studied with the Pennsylvania Ballet for many years. The "Nutcracker" was a favorite of hers.

She worked as a contract coordinator for Sun Oil Company in Philadelphia, PA and retired in 1997.

She was a member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church in Kimberton, PA and was an active volunteer with the school while her children attended.

Rosie enjoyed participating in her children's and grandchildren's sporting activities and school events and was always the biggest cheerleader in the crowd.  She loved the beach, vacationing with her family and visiting Atlantic City with her girlfriends.

Rosie was an eloquent and witty writer.  Over the years, she wrote personal poems to commemorate loved ones, relive a funny story or celebrate occasions and had a warm way with words for every important moment.  She took advantage of every opportunity to send a card to a loved one.  She never missed a milestone, an achievement or sending words of encouragement, sentiments of love or sometimes, "just because."  Rosie loved watching the Phillies and rarely missed a game, rooting for her beloved team through all the highs and lows.

She was an avid baker and perfected many recipes passed down for generations and will especially be remembered for her famous Hungarian Kiffle cookies she spent innumerable hours baking with love.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children:  Monica M., wife of Darrell Salvo and Gregory C., husband of Aimee Blum; two grandsons:  Nicholas and Justen; brother, Robert Toth; sister-in-law, Debbie Toth; niece, Danielle Toth and nephew, Robert Toth Jr. and many cousins and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Edward Toth and nephew, Glenn Toth.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service in Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at 6:00 pm with Rev. Gary Pacitti officiating.

A visitation will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers. contributions may be made in her memory to Main Line Animal Rescue, 1149 Pike Springs Road, Phoenixville, PA  19460,  or -online at mlar.org
