Rose M. Donnelly

Rose M. (Shine) Donnelly, 91, wife of the late John F. Donnelly, Sr. of Phoenixville passed away in her home on Friday morning, January 10, 2025.

Born on March 3, 1933 in Phoenixville, PA she was a daughter of the late Francis and Augusta (Benkoski) Shine.

Rose retired from the Container Corporation of American. She was member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. Rose was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her door was always open and she would do anything for you and expect nothing in return. Whether you joined her for a cup of tea at her kitchen table or an hour long phone conversation she was always there to listen. Rose enjoyed family trips to Rehoboth beach and Florida. Her love for her grandchildren, painting, crafts, gardening, and home projects always kept her busy 

She is survived by her daughter, Rosemary Donnelly; son, John F. Donnelly; grandchildren: Jarrett Valle and Lauren Morby, and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Patricia Valle and siblings: John Shine, Francis Shine, Ronald Shine, Bernard Shine, Joseph Shine, Mildred Plunkett, and Dorothy Shine.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00 am with Rev. Thomas Kletzel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Thursday morning from 10:15 to 10:45 am.
