Phyllis Wilt

Phyllis Jean (Blatt) Wilt, 90, wife of Robert J. Wilt of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022.

Born on September 2, 1931 in Harrisburg, PA she was the daughter of the late Rev. William C. and Ruth Naomi (Goudy) Blatt.

She graduated from Phoenixville Area High School in 1949.

Phyllis was a lifelong member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mont Clare, PA where she was a Sunday School Teacher, member of Missions Committee, United Methodist Women, Bible Study, and was a Coordinator of Christian Roller Skating Ministry at Kimberton Roller Rama, and volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

Bob and Phyllis were married for 71 years.  Together they raised 7 children.  She enjoyed years of family gatherings and watching her family grow.  Her family was the recipient of her many sweet treats including chocolate peanut butter cake, shoofly pies and her homemade candy.

In addition to her husband she is survived by 6 children:

Dianne Marie wife of Paul Fisher;

Rev. Robert J. Wilt, Jr. husband of Marilyn Wilt;

Shirley Ann wife of Robert Fitzcharles;

Beverly Jean wife of James Martin;

Roger LeRoy Wilt;

Joseph William Wilt.

13 Grandchildren.

20 Great-grandchildren.

2 Sisters, Iona Wilkinson and Joanne O'Neal.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Charlene Mae, grandson, Michael Fisher, daughters-in-law, Dawn Wilt and Patti Wilt, and brother, William Blatt, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 181 Walnut Street, Mont Clare, PA 19453 on Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 10:30 am. The service will be preceded by a time to visit with the family from 9:30 – 10:30 AM.

A private interment in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA will take place at the convenience of the family.
