Peggy J. (Straub) Kraynak, 89, widow of Thomas L. Kraynak, Sr., of South Coventry, PA (formerly of Phoenixville) passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at St. Francis Home.
Born on May 26, 1935 in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Custer) Straub, Sr.
She was a 1953 graduate of Phoenixville High School.
Peggy worked as a secretary for engineering firms until her retirement in 1999.
She was a former member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Women’s Guild and attended St. Thomas More Catholic Church.
Peggy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Affectionately known as Mom-Mom, she was a constant presence in their lives, developing a very special bond. She loved baking and gardening.
She is survived by 3 children:
2 daughters, Deborah, wife of Bruce Marvel; Lisa, wife of Timothy Thompson and a son, Thomas Kraynak.
4 Grandchildren, Brett Marvel, Eric Marvel, Ryan Marvel, and Sarah Thompson.
6 Great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Straub, and sisters, Janet Yostin, Anna Mae Craft, and Betty Jane Wade.
To honor Peggy’s wishes services will be private.
