Mary Jane Umble

Mary Jane (Brillhart) Umble, 83, wife of the late Howard E. Umble, of Spring City, PA, died on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 in Seasons Hospice.

Born on November 28, 1934 in Atglen, PA she was the daughter of the late Rev. Robert F. and Sara J. (Thompson) Brillhart.

She attended Kimberton Farms School and was a graduate of Phoenixville Area High School class of 1953. She received her Bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Millersville University. She lovingly taught kindergarten at Kimberton Farms School presently known as Kimberton Waldorf School for 34 years.

She was a life member of East Vincent United Church of Christ.

She enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, and craft work.

She was a warm, loving, and kind grandmother to her grandchildren.

Surviving are:

Son, Robert, husband of Maura Umble;

Son, Richard, husband of Lyn Umble;

Daughter, Sally, wife of Bruce Lipkowitz.

Grandchildren:

Molly and Bridget Umble;

Bradley and Dana Umble;

Julia and Michael Lipkowitz.

Preceded in death by grandson, Alex Umble.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at East Vincent United Church of Christ, 282 Hill Church Road, Spring City, PA on Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at 11:00 am with Rev. Erick Kern officiating.

A visitation will be held in the church on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in East Vincent United Church of Christ Cemetery.
