Marshall Barkman, Jr.

Marshall A. Barkman, Jr., 89, husband of the late Joan M. (Taylor) Barkman of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in the Community at Shannondell.

Born in Abington, PA on July 22, 1932, he was a son of the late Marshall A. Barkman, Sr. and Hazel (Bartholomew) Barkman.

Marshall was a steelworker for his entire career. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Phoenixville where he was also active in the Senior Club and was a member of AARP Chapter 713 of Phoenixville. He enjoyed antique cars.

Surviving Marshall are his children, Anita Watkins (Jack), MaryJane Brown (Carl), Joanne Taylor (Greg), Marshall Barkman III (Gretchen), George Barkman (Linda), Evelyn Manos (Tom), Kevin Barkman (Nicole); 20 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; his sisters, Loretta Bingahaman and Linda Wasson; and his brothers, Carl Barkman and David Barkman (Bonnie). He was preceded in death by his siblings, Wallace Barkman, Doris Carlin, Esther Merchant, Cynthia Whitworth, Ernest Barkman; and his grandsons, Mark Gantert and Dennis Viscuso.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Ann’s Chapel, 604 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 at 11:00 a.m.

Burial will follow in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery, 1215 Super Highway, Langhorne, PA 19047 at 1:00 p.m.

A viewing will be held in the chapel on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 p.m.
