Mark Allen Dunyak, 73, husband of Theresa M O'Donnell-Dunyak of Douglassville, Pa., passed away on Friday, March 28th, 2025 at Pottstown Hospital. He was born in Phoenixville on August 30, 1951 to the late S. Louis and Gertrude M. (McGowan) Dunyak. Mark was born at Phoenixville Hospital and raised in St. Mary of Assumption Catholic Church where he attended grade school and was an altar boy. He graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1969.
Mark was a gregarious man who thrived in the company of others. His social attributes lead him to a career in the automotive industry, working sales and, ultimately, finance. He worked for Williams Pontiac and retired from John Kennedy Ford of Phoenixville. He was a member of the Polish American Citizens Club, Friendship Fire Company, St. Gabriel Lodge of Stowe, and the Elks Club Lodge of Pottstown. He was a member of the American Bowling Congress, where he bowled an astounding eight 300-point games, two of which were consecutive! He loved golfing and was a member of Golden Oaks Golf Club in Fleetwood. Mark loved sports, especially playing football and baseball in his youth and following the Eagles, Phillies, and Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his wife, Theresa, he is survived by his daughter, Michele (Harold) Ballou, sons, Michael (Christine) O'Donnell and
Thomas (Aimee) O'Donnell; grandchildren, Jacob, Emily, Cameron, Michael, Kelly, John, Vivien, Evan; and sisters, Marylouise Engle and Diane Dunyak.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass at 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville Pa., St. Mary's, the Assumption Catholic Church on Friday April 4, 2025, at 11:00 am. with Rev Arechabala officiating.
A viewing will be held in the church on Friday morning from 9:30 am to 10:45 am.
Burial will be private
