Maria Melnyk

Maria (Cholodniuk) Melnyk, 96, of Phoenixville, PA wife of the late Stefan Melnyk died on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 in Brightview Woodbury Lake Assisted Living.

Born on December 11, 1922 in Ukraine she was the daughter of the late Stach and Justina (Kowalchuk) Cholodniuk.

She was an active member of Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church.

She is survived by 4 children:

Daughter, Luba wife of the late Michael Belcak;

Daughter, Justine wife of Etienne Kunderewicz;

Son, Raymond husband of Sally Melnyk;

Daughter, Anna wife of Chuck Allen.

6 Grandchildren, Michael, Larisa (Colin), Stephen (Angie), Nancy (Brandon), Sara (Matt), and Will.

4 Great-grandchildren: Mikey, Sadie, Norah, and Simon.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Divine Liturgy in Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Fairview and St. Mary's Streets, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, September 7, 2019 at 10:30 am with Rev. Ihor Royik officiating.

Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:15 to 10:15 am.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be given to Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 372 Emmett Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
