Madeline Ann Viola passed away at Phoenixville Hospital on Saturday, January 13, 2018. She had been in good spirits and her sudden and unexpected departure leaves her friends and family greatly saddened. Madeline was born in Yonkers, New York on June 9, 1955 to Rita and Andrew Sterk. She graduated from Johns Hopkins University in June 1977 with a B.S. in International Studies. She was employed by the Department of Defense as a procurement officer for 10 years. For the last four years, Madeline was very happily married to her caring and loving husband Alfred Viola. Madeline had two rescue dogs Ringo and Popeye, who brought her much pleasure. Madeline was a talented artist; she loved to paint and draw and decorated her apartment with her artwork. She had a great sense of humor and a robust laugh. Madeline is survived by her husband Alfred, her brother Tom Sterk and his wife Laurie Birch, her nephews Elliot Sterk and Ethan Sterk, and her step mother Barbara Sterk.
