Linda Iwaniuk (Gear)
With deep sorrow, we announce that Linda Iwaniuk (Gear), 73, wife of the late Stephen Iwaniuk of Phoenixville, PA passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 15, 2025 with her children by her side.
Linda had a gift - she could make anyone laugh. Her stories were legendary, her humor unmatched, and her presence could light up any room. She was a wife, a mother, a sister, a daughter, an aunt, a friend, and a source of endless joy to all who knew her.
Linda was preceded in death by her brother (Bob Gear), her husband (Steve), and their son (Stephen). She grew up in a large family with her brothers (Bob, John, and Tim) and sister (Dawn). She shared a special bond with her twin brother John, and they often reminisced about their days at Saint Michael's grade school together.
A graduate of Spring-ford High School, Class of 1970, Linda’s love for fashion blossomed while working at Novell's clothing store. After high school, she worked at Container Corporation until meeting and marrying Steve in 1979. Together, they built a life rich in love and laughter, raising their two children and filling their home with countless funny memories.
In the 90s, Linda worked as a house cleaner and later at Genuardi’s supermarket, where she made incredible and lifelong friends. After Genuardi’s closed, she continued her career at Giant until she retired in 2018.
Retirement allowed Linda to focus on what she loved most—spending time with her family and friends, diving into creative projects, discovering new recipes (many of which she found on TikTok), and always being eager to try something new. She had a sense of humor, curiosity, and kindness that left a lasting mark on everyone she met.
Though she is no longer with us, Linda’s spirit will never fade. It lives on in the stories we tell, the laughter we share, and the love she so freely gave. Her family and friends will cherish her memory forever.
In her honor, please take a moment to laugh, share a story, and spread a little extra humor—just as she always did.
Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the COPD Foundation to help others struggling with COPD.
