Lila Gage

Lila Fay (Caputo) Gage, 89, of Phoenixville, PA died on Thursday, October 24, 2019 at home.

Born on May 21, 1930 in Nutley, New Jersey she was the daughter of the late John and Frances L. Caputo.

She graduated from Nutley High School and then went on to the Verdi Conservatory in Milan, Italy.

She was a Opera Singer and was the longest held soprano at Radio City Music Hall. She performed at Metropolitan Opera House and throughout Europe. She was also a singing artist, actress, and teacher.

She was a member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church in Kimberton, PA.

She is survived by loving companion, Jack W. Markley and 2 nieces, Darlene Olson and Marilyn Marino.

She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Helen and Betty and 1 brother, John, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 2340 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at 11:00 am.

A visitation will be held in church on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 am.
