Kathy A. (Wallace) Hitner, 67, of Phoenixville died at Silver Lake Nursing Home in Bristol Tuesday evening following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Mildred A. (Luft) Wallace.
She attended local schools and was a 1974 graduate of Northern Chester County Vocational School. Kathy received a Registered Nursing degree in 1991 from Montgomery County Community College.
She previously worked as a Registered Nurse for Pottstown Memorial Medical Center and Paoli Hospital. She retired from Valley Forge Medical Center in Norristown as a Registered Nurse.
Kathy was an avid crossword puzzler and enjoyed art illustrating. She looked forward to Spring annually so to tend to her hummingbird garden. She loved music and was a huge Eagles fan.
She is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Lee Hitner, of Bensalem and a brother, Joseph W. Wallace, Jr. of Phoenixville, PA. Kathy was also survived by nieces, Brianne Chuko, Mary Chuko, and nephew, John Chuko. She was also survived by great-nieces, Anya Chuko, Karleigh Chuko, and Kylah Chuko and great-nephews, Liam O'Brien and James Chuko.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Justine Marie Hitner and two sisters, Lori M. Wallace and Danielle T. Wallace-Bauer, and one niece, Tasia Lynn Chuko.
