Kathryn E. "Kate" (Barnett) Hetzel, 84, companion of Bob Kunsch, of Pottstown, PA, died on Friday, April 7, 2017 in Seasons Hospice.
Born on December 7, 1932 in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Marjorie (Burgents) Barnett.
Kathryn earned her Bachelor Degree in Nursing from West Chester University, and her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Miami.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville, and was a volunteer at the Kimberton Fire House.
She was an artist who enjoyed painting, fishing, had a love of animals, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.
Surviving are,
son, Joseph husband of Wendy Vargo of Phoenixville, PA,
grandchildren, Kacie and Jake Vargo,
companion, Bob Kunsch.
She was preceded in death by husband, Charlie Hetzel.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service at the First Presbyterian Church of Phoenixville, 145 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Saturday, April 22, 2017 at 11:00 am.
Burial will be private.
Visitation will be held in the church on Saturday morning from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
