Kathryn A. (McBride) Grocki, 81, beloved wife of John J. Grocki and the late Michael M. Hudak of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024 at home.Born on June 14, 1942 in Phoenixville, PA, she was the daughter of the late John Francis and Ruth Evelyn (Kirkpatrick) McBride.She was a graduate of Bishop Kenrick High School, Class of 1960. She then attended Norristown Hospital School of Nursing. Over the course of her nursing career, Kathryn worked at Montgomery Hospital, Valley Forge Military Hospital and the Vanguard School as well as in the obstetrics and gynecology practice of Dr. Carlin in the Norristown area. After retirement, she continued to work as a traveling nurse doing vaccinations. She was also the past owner of Phoenixville Memorial Works.She was a longtime member, elder and deacon of First Presbyterian Church, Phoenixville, PA. She was a lifetime member and past president of Soroptimist International of Phoenixville, a member of Rolls-Royce Owners Club, past President of Monument Builders Association of PA, and a member of Gourmet Club.Kathryn traveled extensively all over the globe. She loved collectibles, especially teapots, Hummel figurines, dolls and ladybugs. She also loved gardening. In conjunction with People to People Mission of First Presbyterian Church Phoenixville, she spent many days serving meals to the homeless population.In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children:Christopher Hudak and wife Amy; andKaren, wife of Keith Ridenour.

three grandchildren:Brittany, wife of Clint Pritchett;Amanda Hudak, fiance of Matt Engesser; andPayton Ridenour;
five stepgrandchildren:Lilly and Jack Kappatos; andMichael, Jonathan, and Amber Hudak;
six great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews;a sister, Linda McBride;and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her brother, John Francis McBride.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service at First Presbyterian Church, 145 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in Washington Memorial Chapel Cemetery in Valley Forge.
A visitation will be held in the church on Wednesday from 10:00 to 11:00 am.
