Katherine Mateja

Katherine "Cass" (Parker) Mateja, 79, wife of Joseph S. Mateja, Sr. of Eagleville, PA passed away on Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Born on March 12, 1942 in Norristown, PA she was the daughter of the late George Parker, Sr. and Kathryn (Tinney) Parker.

She was a member of St. Eleanor Catholic Church and enjoyed going to various church festivals.

Cass enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, but most especially her great-grandchildren who lovingly knew her as Mom Mom and always awaited her hugs and secret stash of mini M&Ms.  She also loved playing the lottery, mostly scratch-off tickets, and had amazing luck.

In addition to her husband, Cass is survived by her children:
Barbara Zankman of Phoenixville;
Joseph Mateja, Jr. of Surfside, FL;
Susan, wife of Robert Raimondo, of Spring City;
Thomas Mateja of Phoenixville;
Katherine, wife of Jim Bennett, of Brigantine, NJ.

10 grandchildren, Dana Faust, Jessica Mateja, Katie Mateja, Robert Raimondo, Samantha Raimondo, Michael Zankman, Valerie Zankman, Mary Bennett, Samantha Vossen, and Jogeury Pena.

7 great-grandchildren, Jason, Matthew, Cole, Mia, Robert, Owen, and Tess.
2 sisters, Eleanor Foster and Madeline Butler.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, George Parker, Jr. and Lawrence Parker.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Eleanor Catholic Church, 647 Locust Street, Collegeville, PA 19426 on Friday, March 19, 2021 at 11:30 am.

Burial will follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.

Family and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:30 am to 11:30 am.
