Karen Johns

Karen E. Johns, 71, wife of James V. Johns of Phoenixville, PA passed away at home on Friday, March 19, 2021.

Born on August 1, 1949 in Phoenixville, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Marion (Ferko) Zeleski.  She graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1967.  Karen served on the Phoenixville Borough Council for the Middle Ward for eight years, was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, the Phoenixville Democratic Committee, and Chairperson for the Phoenixville Fireworks Committee.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children:  James Johns Jr and wife Lisa, Stephanie Pontin and husband Tim, and Courtney Johns and Michael Finegan; 8 grandchildren:  Kayla Johns, Cameron Johns, Timothy Pontin, Chloe Johns, Nathaniel Pontin, Jake Harvey, Joshua Harvey, and Chase Johns;  4 brothers and sisters:  Joseph "Larry" Zeleski, Janice Endy and  husband Roy, Ronald Zeleski and wife Bertha, and Pamela Gates and  husband Steve.

A viewing will be at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Thursday, March 25, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 am.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Ann Catholic Chapel, 604 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA  at 11:00 am with Rev. John Newns officiating.  Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
