Julia A. (Wasko) Greenan

Julia A. (Wasko) Greenan, 82, of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025. 

Born in Mont Clare, PA she was the daughter of the late John Wasko, Sr. and Julia (Platco) Wasko. 

She worked as a mold injection operator at Budd company for 20 years while also working as a beloved waitress for many years at the elite Seven Stars Inn. Julia possessed a talent for keeping children enchanted during the meals she served for her customers. She was quite popular and frequently requested by name to be the server for the evening. In this way Julia helped many families commemorate their special events through the years. 

A devoted Mother and grandmother. Julia raised three children to adulthood and had 8 grand children. She was supernaturally thoughtful and generous, never missed a birthday, holiday or special occasion. Her packages and cards always arrived early. She always had cash and could seemingly conjure twenty dollar bills out of thin air whenever. 

Julia was a lifelong member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Mont Clare. 

She is survived by 2 children: 

Joseph husband of Marlene Cox. 

Julia wife of John Tucker. 

8 Grandchildren, Sarah, Patrick, Timothy, Joshua, Shawn, Paul, Rachel, and Nathanael. 

Brother, James Wasko. 

She was preceded in death by her son, Brian Cox, brother, John Wasko and sisters, Mary Louise Sumner, Joan Roncase, and Elizabeth Farnquist. 

A Parastas Service will be held at the Devlin - Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at 4:00 pm. Following the service a viewing will be held from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. 

A viewing will also be held in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, 203 Jacob Street, Mont Clare, PA on Monday, February 10, 2025 from 9:45 to 10:15 am followed by Divine Liturgy with Funeral Service at 10:30 am with Rev. Andriy Kovach officiating. 

Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery.
