Joseph M. Kurylak, 88, husband of the late Phyllis M. ( Deery) Kurylak of Phoenixville, PA, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 in Manatawny Manor, Pottstown, PA.
Born on August 17, 1933 in Phoenixville, PA he was a son of the late Michael and Mary Kurylak.
Joseph served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and was stationed in the Mediterranean Sea. Following his service, he was employed as a Service Technician and Manager with Beckman Instruments for many years.
He was a member of the Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church in Kimberton and the Phoenixville Senior Center. Joseph also volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and was a HAM radio enthusiast.
He is survived by 3 sons: Christopher and wife Ruth Kurylak, Michael and wife Jan Kurylak, P.J and wife Donna Kurylak; 4 grandchildren, Alex, Matthew, John, Taliah; and 3 great grandchildren, Matthew, Oliver, and Cyler. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert Kurylak; his brothers, Joseph Kurylak and Stephen Kurylak; and his sisters, Ann Kirk and Katharine Yakimee.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service to celebrate the lives of both Joseph and Phyllis in Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Rd., Kimberton, PA on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will be held privately for the family.
