Joseph Kovach, Sr.

Joseph M. Kovach, Sr., 75, husband of Peggy J. (Jenkins) Kovach of Phoenixville, PA  died on Friday, September 10, 2021 in the Phoenixville Hospital.

He was born on November 17, 1945 in Lost Creek, Schuylkill County, PA to the late Jack and Nancy (Morris) Kovach.  He proudly served in the U.S. Navy for three years.

He worked in the maintenance department for the Phoenixville Area School District.    Joe was an avid sportsman.  He loved hunting and fishing with his son and grandchildren.  He also enjoyed bicycling.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children:  Joseph Kovach, Jr. and Melissa wife of William Karwoski; four grandchildren:  Breanna, Joseph III, Margaret, and William; one great grandson:  Oliver, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Kovach

A viewing will be held at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA  on Thursday, September 16, 2021 from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.  His funeral service will follow at 6:00 pm.

Interment will be private.
