Joseph Anastacio

Joseph W. "Duke" Anastacio, 76, husband of Catherine M. (O'Donnell) Anastacio, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 in Phoenixville Hospital.

Born on May 1, 1940 in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late William J. and Rose V. (Baldassare) Anastasio.

He worked at Lee Tire in Conshohocken, PA, was Past President of U.R.W. Local 785, and then worked at Facilities Management of Chester County.

He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Phoenixville. He was a life member of the Santa Anna Italian Club, Friendship Fire Company and West End Fire Company.

He enjoyed fishing, gardening and watching sports.

Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving in addition to his wife are,
daughter, Sheila wife of Harry Stephens,
daughter, Michele Anastacio,
daughter, Lucia wife of Roy Yancik,
daughter, Lauren wife of Gary Miller,
son, William husband of Sarah Anastacio,

9 grandchildren,
1 great-granddaughter,

and sister, Lucia McCourt.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Marcelline Shirey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, 212 Dayton Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, April 28, 2017 at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA

A viewing will be held in the church on Friday morning from 8:00 am to 9:45 am.
