John Werkheiser

John Clark Werkheiser, 81, husband of the late Gladys D. (Newton) Werkheiser, of Phoenixville, PA died on Sunday, September 8, 2019 in Seasons Hospice.

Born on October 10, 1937 in Wilmington, DE he was the son of the late Joseph R. and Alice M. (Gebhart) Werkheiser.

John served in the United States Army for 24 years, retiring as Staff Sergeant in 1984.

He was a member of Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints, Norristown, PA.

He is survived by 4 children:

Daughter, Michelle D. Galt;

Son, George G. Hunter, III;

Son, Keith husband of Patty Galt;

Son, Kenneth S. husband of Nadine Galt.

5 Grandchildren, Renea, Teresa, Julie, Jessica, and Anastasia.

7 Great-grandchildren, Kiya, Aalea, Noah, Alli, Matthew, Maci, and Hazel Grace.

Brother and sisters:

Robert A. Werkheiser, Richard E. Werkheiser, Alice W. Werkheiser, Janet Maddish, and Donald L. Werkheiser.

Uncle, Jerome A. Gebhart and many family members.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sister, Joseph, Bruce, Frank Werkheiser, and Carol Ann Fahey.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, September 14, 2019 at 10:00 am.

Burial will follow in Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer, PA.

A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am.
