John G. Matzik, III

John George Matzik, III, age 62, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022 surrounded by family in Paoli Hospital. Born on May 18, 1960 in Bryn Mawr, PA he was a son of John G. Matzik, Jr. and the late Dolores Ann (Fisher) Matzik.

John was a loving father, husband, son, brother and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman, who took any opportunity to be hunting or fishing. He could be found at his kitchen table tying fly’s for his next big salmon fishing trip to New York, or planning a weekend getaway to Raystown Lake with family and friends. He was a life-long sports fan, always cheering for the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, and Notre Dame games. John was also a successful small business owner for more than 30 years, he took much pride in his work and business relationships.

John had a larger than life personality, shown through his charismatic storytelling that was sure to make you laugh. He will be missed greatly.

John is survived by his wife of 36 years, Sharon, by his two daughters Rachael and Kristie, his brother Matthew "Duke" Matzik, Duke’s wife Anna DiSanto-Matzik, and his father John G. Matzik, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in St. Ann Chapel, 604 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 11:00 am.

A visitation will be held in the chapel on Friday from 9:45am-10:45am. Interment is private.
