John R. Davis, 87, husband of the late Gail B.(Corbett) Davis of Phoenixville, PA died on Saturday, March 11, 2017.
Born on January 14, 1930 in Phoenixville, PA he was a son of the late John and Lottie (Patton) Davis.
He served in the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division during the Korean War.
John worked as an auto mechanic at Tauder Ford in Phoenixville and retired from there as a service writer.
He was a life member of the 82nd Airborne Association, F.&A.M. Phoenix Lodge No. 75, American Legion Thomas O'Connor Post 602, and the Valley Forge Volunteer Fire Company.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, William Davis and 4 sisters: Genevieve, Beulah, Doris and Lottie.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service from the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at 7:00 pm
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 pm.
