Joanne L. Zona

Joanne L. (Burke) Zona, 75, wife of the late Giuseppe Zona of Spring City, PA passed away on Friday, March 14, 2025 at home.

Born on March 21, 1949 in Phoenixville, PA she was the daughter of the late Arthur L. and Victoria (Farino) Burke.

She worked in housekeeping in the Maternity Unit at Phoenixville Hospital for 41 years.

Joanne was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Joanne enjoyed traveling, especially to Las Vegas and trips to Ocean City, MD to sit on the beach. Her favorite activities were sitting in the sun, eating donuts in the desert, and looking out at the ocean. She was fluent in Italian and kept in touch with her family in Italy. She enjoyed going to her grandsons' sporting events and school musicals.

She was a member of Cat Angel Network and helped to rescue stray cats.

She is survived by 2 children:

Judith Zona;

Joseph husband of Trish Zona.

2 Grandsons, Mason and Chase.

Brother-in-law, Michele Zona and wife Iolanda of Caserta, Italy.

Sister-in-law, Maria Zona wife of the late Pasquale Raineri of Verona, Italy

Her cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Long-time friend Carol Smith.

Her 2 loyal guard cats, Cutie and Wellz.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11:00 am.

Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.

A visitation will be held in the church on Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:45 am.
