Joan Mae (Capoferri) Miller, 84, wife of the late Donald R. Miller, passed away in her home on Tuesday, November 24, 2020. Born at home in Royersford on February 16, 1936, she was a daughter of Flora (Gerloff) Capoferri and the late Fred Capoferri. Joan graduated from Royersford High School in 1954. She worked as a receptionist at the former Phoenixville Steel Company and then in the accounting department at the West Company in Phoenixville. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Phoenixville, Phoenixville Senior Center, Phoenixville AARP Chapter, and the West Company Retirees. She was obsessed with decorating for the holidays, especially Christmas. In fact, she won the Christmas porch decorating contest at her complex more than once! Watching movies on the Hallmark Channel was another love of hers. She could watch the movies over and over again and still cry at the happily ever after endings. Her three grandchildren were the loves of her life. She took pride in bragging about their accomplishments and displaying their pictures all over her home. She is survived by: mother, Flora (Gerloff) Capoferri; son, Brian L. Miller and wife Karen (Peel) Miller; daughter-in-law, Diane (Pellegrino) Miller; grandchildren, Blake, Jace and Kira Miller; sister, Janice (Capoferri) Sudzina; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Capoferri; husband, Donald R. Miller; son, Scott R. Miller and sister, Jean (Capoferri) Hakun. Her funeral service will be private, due to covid restrictions, but friends may attend the burial at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia at 11:15am
