Joan N. "Cowgal " Hewett, 61, of Phoenixville, PA, died on Thursday, June 29, 2017 in Paoli Hospital.
Born on October 3, 1955 in Trenton, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Clayton K. and Anna Grace (Carlson) Hewett.
Joan was a graduate of Philadelphia High School for Girls class of 1973 and a graduate of Delaware Valley University with a Bachelor Degree in Animal Husbandry.
She worked as a Research Biologist for Merck Laboratories.
She loved horses and dogs, but most of all she adored her family.
Surviving are,
brother, Bishop Paul C. Hewett of Columbia, SC,
sister, Darryl wife of Michael Martin of Phoenixville, PA,
brother, Philip Hewett of New Jersey,
sister, Therese wife of John Carper of California,
brother, Matthew husband of Meryl Hewett of Delaware,
also survived by Patricia McGrory Hewett of New Jersey,
and many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service in the Anglican Church of the Transfiguration, 51 Columbia Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, PA.
A viewing will be held in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Wednesday morning from 9:00 am to 10:15 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Anglican Church of the Transfiguration, Stained Glass Window Fund, 51 Columbia Avenue, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
