Jean Frances (Imhof) Wislowski, 82, wife of Robert J. Wislowski of Wallingford, formerly of Phoenixville, earned her well-deserved halo and wings when she died on Saturday, November 30, 2024. Born on December 6, 1941 in Lebanon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Winfield and Rosemary Rita (Hartman) Imhof. She was a 1960 graduate of Lebanon High School and a 1962 graduate of Camilla Catholic School of Practical Nursing. Jean worked for the VA Medical Center in Philadelphia before entering the U.S. Army, where she served for 3 years. She returned to work at the Valley Forge Army Hospital, where she met her loving husband, Robert. She later worked as an occupational therapist assistant at the Montgomery County Geriatric and Rehabilitation Center. An active member of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, she taught CCD, served as a lector and belonged to the Golden Greats and the Rosary Cenacle. Jean also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and St. Mary's Franciscan Shelter. Known for her kindness, bright smile and devotion to her faith, her nickname among family and friends was “St. Jeanie.”
In 1995, Jean and Robert made a pilgrimage to the shrine of Medjugordje in the former Yugoslavia, where they joined other pilgrims to provide relief efforts in the war-torn region. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three children: Mary Grace (Wislowski) Kawai, Ann Marie Wislowski and David Victor Wislowski; three grandchildren: Kristen Mary Wislowski, Maria Theresa Wislowski and Kevin David Wislowski; brother, Patrick Joseph Imhof, and sisters, Mary Margaret (Imhof) Ditzler and twin Joan Louise (Imhof) Hylton.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Peter Imhof and sister, Rosemarie (Imhof) Tchorz.
A Memorial Service will be held at Chestnut Ridge Wallingford, 2700 Chestnut Parkway, Wallingford, PA 19086 on Thursday, December 5, 2024 at 10:30 am with Rev. John Stokely of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church officiating.
