James T. Quinn, Sr.

James T. Quinn, Sr. husband of Lorraine V. (Bruno) Quinn of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023, at his home in Herndon, VA.

Born on January 28, 1933, in Phoenixville, PA he was the son of the late Patrick and Helene (Coyne) Quinn.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.

He grew up on the Northside of Phoenixville and attended St. Mary's School and Church.

He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church, VFW Post 1564, Phoenixville and American Legion Post 602, Spring City. He enjoyed a career as a surveyor and was a member of the Philadelphia based Carpenter's Union.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by 5 children:

Theresa wife of Dave Cocci,

Sherry wife of Dave Womer,

Lorraine wife of Kent Close,

Elizabeth wife of Russ Wise,

James T. Quinn, Jr. husband of Marily Quinn.

9 Grandchildren, Matthew Cocci, Ryan (Jenna) Womer, Patrick Womer, Samantha Close, Ava Wise, Ali Wise, Thomas Quinn, Patrick Quinn, and Andrew Quinn.

Sister, Winnie Higgins.

He was a proud uncle of many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Theresa (Kostival) Quinn and sisters, Mary (Charlie) Romano, Elizabeth (Roy) Love, Gertrude (Mike) Gallagher, Alice (Don)Boyle, Helene (Paul) Elliff, brother-in-law Francis Higgins and Sr. Assumpta Maria Quinn IHM (formerly Florence Quinn).

Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Mass in St. Ann Catholic Church, Main Street at Third Avenue, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 11:00 am with Rev. John J. Newns officiating. 

Burial will follow in St. Mary Black Rock Cemetery, Phoenixville.

A viewing will be held in church on Friday morning from 9:15 to 10:45 am.
