James F. Karkoska, 78, of Douglassville passed away at home on Saturday evening, March 28, 2020.
Born on May 9, 1941 in Phoenixville he was a son of the late John and Stella (Trajcik) Karkoska.
Jim played semi-pro football for the Spring-Ford Marauders and was a die-hard 49ers fan.
He served in the U.S. Air Force for four years during the Vietnam War.
He retired from the Southeast Veterans Center in Spring City. Jim was a member of the Santa Ana Italian American Club. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, bowling, and playing various sports.
Jim is survived by daughter, Michele R. Karkoska; granddaughter, Kaitlyn V. Karkoska; son James F. Karkoska Jr and his family.
He was preceded in death by his brothers and sister: John "Jack" Karkoska, Rosemarie Nattle, and Paul Karkoska.
A celebration of Jim's life will be announced at a later date.
