James A. Drabick, 54, husband of Debbie (Wessner) Drabick of Phoenixville, PA died peacefully at home on Monday, January 6, 2020 surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on July 18, 1965 in Phoenixville, PA he was the son of the late Andrew J. Drabick and Jeanne C. (Manion) Drabick of Phoenixville, PA.
He worked in the Microbiology Department at Hahnemann University Hospital before accepting a position as the Clinical Microbiology Supervisor at Phoenixville Hospital where he worked for 25 years.
He enjoyed cycling long distances with his cycling group, Biking “Rails to Trails” Adventure Group, and was an avid and loyal Penn State fan. Some of his greatest joys were his dogs, the Phillies, the outdoors and an eclectic taste in music lead by Bruce Springsteen and Rush.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 children:
Son, Tyler Eckman of Phoenixville, PA;
Daughter, Ashley Erb of Newark, OH.
1 granddaughter, Emmie.
Brother, Joseph husband of Leah Drabick of Palmyra, PA;
Brother, Drew Drabick and wife Meg Swienckowski of Raleigh, NC;
Sister, Maria Drabick of Phoenixville, PA.
11 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved dogs, Cheyenne and Denver.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service in the Devlin Rosmos Kepp and Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10:30 promptly.
Visitation will be held in the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 to 10:30 am.
