Jack Rushing

March 10, 1943 — January 6, 2017

Jack Douglas on January 6, 2017, age 73. Loving husband of Barbara (nee Bell). Father of Jack Douglas Junior (Carol) and Woodrow Robert and grandfather of Grant, Audrey and Miles Rushing. Survived by a sister Bettie Rushing. Jack grew up and attended school in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He attended the University of New Mexico and earned his law degree from The University of Texas. He worked for Citibank in New York City where he met and married his wife Barbara, in 1972. Following several years with Allied Signal in New Jersey he did private consulting. Jack's many interests included researching his family history (Jack was a member of the Muscogee (Creek)Nation in Oklahoma), working with the Boy Scouts and reading and telling local folk lore. An avid student of US history, he enjoyed many years of revisiting the Native American sites of the Southwest. Services and internment are private.
