Irene (Serenshock) Petruska, 88, wife of the late Emil Petruska, longtime resident of King of Prussia, PA, died on Monday, May 1, 2017 in Paoli Hospital.
Born on May 19, 1928 in Sandy Run, PA, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Petruska) Serenshock.
She was a faithful member of St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church in Mont Clare, PA.
Irene was a loving wife and mother who loved being with her family, especially her 3 grandchildren.
Surviving are,
son, Joseph Emil Petruska and wife Dora (Misseri),
daughter, Mary Irene Petruska,
son, Michael Peter Petruska and wife Amy (Quinn),
daughter, Helen Dorothy and husband Steve Lake,
Baba to 3 wonderful grandchildren,
Joseph Angelo Petruska,
Emily Marie Lake,
Michael Anthony Petruska.
She was preceded in death by brother, Orion Serenshock.
Relatives and Friends are invited to attend her funeral from the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 517 S. Main Street at Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA, on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 9:15 am. Office of Christian Burial and Divine Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, Amelia & Landis Streets, Mont Clare, PA, at 10:00 am with Rev. John Cigan, pastor, officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Mont Clare, PA.
A viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Parastas Service (prayer service) will be held from 7:00 to 7:30 pm. A Rosary Service will begin at 8:00 pm.
There will also be a viewing on Friday morning from 8:30 to 9:15 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Byzantine Catholic Church, 203 Jacob Street, Mont Clare, PA 19453, or to Priests for Life, P.O. Box 141172, Staten Island, NY 10314, or Mass Cards may be given.
