Henry "Hank" P. Butterfield, Sr. (71), passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2016 in Santa Monica, CA. from Liver Cancer.
He was born on August 2, 1944 in Phoenixville, PA, the son of Eugene and Helen (Hennessey) Butterfield.
He graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1964, and always attended his high school reunions. He had wonderful memories of his classmates.
Hank was a United States Veteran and proudly served in the Army, earning the National Defense Service Medal.
He was a successful mobile home dealer for 48 years and made lifelong friendships that were extremely important to him.
He often visited Phoenixville to see his family and friends. He enjoyed getting together with his old friends at the Slovak club playing the punch boards and reminiscing about his youth. He had colorful stories and memories of his friends.
Hank was proud of his Irish heritage and was a Notre Dame football fan. He enjoyed dancing, music, golfing, football, boxing, gambling, deep sea fishing and traveling.
He was more than generous and lived a big life. He was charismatic, charming and full of laughs, more was never enough.
He lived an adventurous beautiful life, he made his mark in this world. He has set off on his next adventure and his family is certain he will be leaving his mark there too.
He loved family, and being surrounded by his loved ones. He provided a wonderful life for his family, and showed by example how hard work and dedication no matter the hurtles in front of you pay off. He was an inspiration to his family and they were extremely proud of the man he was.
He is survived by:
first wife, Carol Epprecht of Mont Clare, PA, and thier son Patrick Alan husband of Kristina,
second wife, Linda Gosser Butterfield of Santa Clarita, CA, and their 5 children, Doug husband of Juliette, Dana, Bridget, Christine and Henry Patrick Jr. husband of Kimberly,
current wife, Yana Butterfield of Santa Monica, CA, and their twin sons, Eugene and Johnny,
15 adored grandchildren and 1 great-grandson,
siblings, John Thomas Butterfield, Joseph Butterfield, Katherine Wood and Mary Pat Roper,
favorite Uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a foster grandfather to many.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Eugene Butterfield of San Francisco and Bobby Butterfield of Palmdale, CA.
Relatives and Friends may attend his Funeral Mass in St. Ann Chapel, 604 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA, on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11:30 am, with visitation from 10:30 to 11:30 in the Chapel.
