Fred V. "Bull" Ettinger, III, 87 husband of Betsy (Allen) Ettinger of Mont Clare, PA passed away on Friday, March 21, 2025 in Phoenixville Hospital.
Born on December 11, 1937 in Mont Clare, Pa he was the son of the late Fred and Ruth (Wilt) Ettinger. Fred was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, Class of 1955, where he excelled in a variety of sports.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army 508th Military Police Battalion in Munich, Germany and remained active in the 508th Alumni group.
Fred worked as a truck tire builder at BF Goodrich in Oaks, PA for 35 years until its closing, then at J&J Spill Company in Norristown, PA.
Fred enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating on the Chesapeake and woodworking. Many family and friends have one of his Bluebird houses in their yards. He was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Mont Clare,Loyal Order of Moose, NRA and St. Mike's Club in Mont Clare.
In addition to his wife Betsy, he is survived by daughters: Stacy Ettinger and Sherry McDermott (Jack); grandchildren: Dylan, Sam, and Sunny; sister Kathryn "Kay" Kunsch.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Life at Otterbein United Methodist Church, 181 Walnut Street, Mont Clare, PA on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 10:00 am.
