Frank Filipovic of Phoenixville, PA passed away on February 9th, 2021, following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife, Virginia (Verish) Filipovic. He is survived by his children, Sarah (Nagy) Talbot, Michael (Lauren Coleman) Nagy, and Mark (Stacey Amos) Nagy. He was the grandfather of Lyric, Isaac, Coleman, and Genevieve Nagy, and Ryan and Kaila Talbot.
Siblings Gottfried (Virginia) Filipovic, Anne (William) Gormley, Michael (Kathleen) Filipovic, Dorothy (Richard) Silva, George (Sandy) Filipovic, Helen (Marc) Easi, Elizabeth Filipovic, and Barbara (and the late William) Keslosky.
Frank was pre-deceased by two grandchildren Thomas and Anthony Nagy.
He attended Northern Chester County Vocational Technical School graduating in 1978. He was a master welder; and worked for various companies. Frank was a faithful customer of Foresta’s Market, loved the comradery with the staff, and helping out when he could. He was a life member of Phoenix Hose, Hook, & Ladder Co., #1, serving as Firefighter, Lieutenant, Captain, Engineer and Trustee. He also enjoyed woodworking and created the memorial bell for Phoenix #1. He enjoyed gardening and grew a variety of vegetables, many of which he gave to friends and family. Frank could also be found helping others with odd jobs or renovation projects.
Relatives and friends will be received at the Devlin, Rosmos, Kepp, and Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 S. Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to Phoenix Hose, Hook, & Ladder Co., No. 1, 177 Church St., Phoenixville, PA 19460.
