Evelyn J. Turner

Evelyn J. (Cresswell) Turner, 93, wife of the late Julian "Skeets" Turner of Lewes, DE passed away in the Reading Hospital on Wednesday, December 6, 2023.

Born on November 14, 1930 in Philadelphia, PA she was a daughter of the late John and Edna (Beaver) Cresswell.
Evelyn was a former volunteer at the Beebe Medical Center in Lewes.  She loved spending time with family, reading, ballroom dancing with her husband, going on cruises, fishing, crabbing and boating.  She enjoyed watching movies and her favorite was Gone With the Wind.

She is survived by a son, Jack husband of Cindy Turner; daughter Leslie wife of Ed McGrath; grandchildren:  Tracey wife of Butch Carnes, Debbie wife of Andy Haring, Tony husband of D'Anna Bergandino, Kelly wife of Lorenzo Linarducci, and Ed husband of Julia McGrath; great grandchildren:  Chelsea, Ashley, Drew, Luca, and Roman; step-granddaughter, Janessa.  She was preceded in death by a brother, Jack Cresswell.

A private family service will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 .  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the ASPCA.
