Evelyn (Becker) Thompson, 98, wife of the late Richard L. Thompson of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Saturday, April 23, 2022.
Born on April 2, 1924 in Wilkes-Barre, PA she was the daughter of the late Gustave and Anna Becker.
She was an Accounting Technician at Valley Forge Army Hospital for 23 years and then at Naval Air Development Center in Warminster until retirement.
She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and life member in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign War Post #1564, Phoenixville, Ladies Auxiliary to American Legion Post #602, Spring City, the Veterans of Foreign Wars National Home for Veterans Children, the Ladies Auxiliary to Oaks Fire Company #1. She was an active volunteer at Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, PA with 16, 222 hours of service.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by sisters, Arline Hughes and Charlotte Klinger, and brothers, Joseph Becker, Harold Becker, and Edward Becker.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3640 Schuylkill Road, Spring City, PA 19475 on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 11:00 am.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
A visitation will be held in church on Tuesday from 10:15 am to 10:45 am.
