Eugene J. Coccia, 84, husband of Louise B. (Lunghi) Coccia of Phoenixville, PA passed away on Tuesday evening , September 29, 2020 at home.
A wonderful man that was loved and forever cherished. He was an amazing husband, father, and Pop-pop that stood strong as an oak tree through life's storms.
He was born in Phoenixville, PA on June 4, 1936 to John and Rose (Cutillo) Coccia. He attended St. Mary's Elementary Catholic School and graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1954. After graduation he worked with his brother-in-law, Lou to learn the carpentry trade and later began his life long career as a home builder. His impeccable work ethic, devotion to family, and passion to God and church were second to none.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army and National Guard Reserves. He was a founding member and usher of St. Basil the Great Catholic Church and member of Kimberton Lions Club where he was past president.
Gene and Louise were married in 1959. They had 3 children Karen, Frank (husband to Kelly), and John (husband to Dianne). They had 6 grandchildren Rachel (wife of Matt Prince), Michael, Meghan, Nick, Jackie and Gina and 2 great-granddaughters, Cecilia and Francesca.

He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Anthony Coccia, Josephine Ricci, Peter Coccia, Nancy Pannella, John Coccia, Jr., and Rose Fillipo.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass in St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 2340 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 10:30 am.
Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
A viewing will be held in church on Saturday from 8:30 am to 10:00 am.
