Eubank "Ted" Travis-Bey, Jr., 77, of Phoenixville, PA died on Friday, October 9, 2020 in Seasons Hospice.
Born on March 31, 1943 in Phoenixville, PA he was a son of the late Eubank and Annie (Lewis) Travis-Bey.
Ted graduated from Phoenixville High School in 1961, received his Bachelors Degree from Wilkes University in 1965, and received his Masters Degree from the University of Utah in 1977.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
For 25 years he worked as an accountant for OIC in Philadelphia and then for over 10 years for the Freedoms Foundation.
He was inducted into the Phoenixville Area High School Sports Hall of Fame, Chester County Sports Hall of Fame, and the Wilkes University Sports Hall of Fame and also served on the President's Council at Wilkes University.
Ted served on the Board of Directors for the following community organizations: Phoenixville Community Health Foundation, Phoenixville Area Positive Alternatives, Phoenixville Children's Learning Center and Phoenixville Church Housing Corporation.
He is survived by his sister, Zamelia Doswell; God-sons, Harold Gardner, Jr, and Adam Trosco; nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
A viewing will be held at the Devlin Rosmos Kepp & Gatcha Funeral Home, 517 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, October 16, 2020 from 9:00 to 10:45 am. A private service for family and invited guests will follow at 11:00 am. The Rev. Dr. Michelle McBeth will officiate.
Committal with military honors will be in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at 9:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to the Phoenixville Community Health Foundation, 821 Gay Street, Phoenixville, PA 19460.
